Sustainability
Doing our bit for Aotearoa’s future.
Teltrac is committed to working sustainably on every job. From eliminating paper waste and recycling e-waste responsibly, to planting native trees across New Zealand — our environmental responsibility is built into how we work, not bolted on.
Our commitments
We offset the emissions from every service call and project visit through verified carbon credit programmes.
Our field teams run entirely on a digital job management system — no paper forms, no printed sign-offs.
All decommissioned electronic equipment is recycled through RemarkIt, keeping toxic materials out of landfill.
From the office kitchen to on-site catering — we use compostable cups, plates, and packaging wherever possible.
E-waste & recycling
Every job ends with responsible recycling.
Before a cable is pulled or a device installed, our Project Managers accurately measure the infrastructure to minimise surplus. That precision mindset carries through to wrap-up: all removed electronics, excess data cabling, and cardboard are separated and recycled on-site, at our premises, or via a certified third-party partner.
We partner with RemarkIt — New Zealand’s leading e-waste recycler — to ensure decommissioned hardware is broken down safely and materials are returned to productive use.
Our e-waste policy →Trees That Count — Project Crimson
Planting native trees across New Zealand.
Teltrac is proud to partner with The Project Crimson Trust, funding native tree planting through their Trees That Count marketplace. The trees are planted in the same regions as our company branches — connecting our work to the communities and landscapes we operate in.
More native trees mean greater biodiversity, cleaner waterways, and stronger communities. We pledge to fund trees on a regular basis, and you can follow our progress on the Tree Leaderboard.

How sustainability runs through every project
Our design services accurately measure all infrastructure before procurement, eliminating over-ordering and reducing off-cuts and packaging waste from day one.
Every job has a dedicated Project Manager who is personally responsible for minimising environmental impact — from material handling to sorting recyclables at pack-down.
Excess material — cabling, cardboard, old hardware — is separated and recycled on-site, at our premises, or through our certified recycling partners. Nothing goes to landfill that doesn’t have to.
